What if I don’t know my login/password?
With the new grant system, all users will need to create a new account. Your login user name will be your email address. If you have already created an account and do not remember your password, please use the "Forgot your Password" link in the e-grant system.
How do I change my password?
If needed, use the “Forgot your Password” link on the login page. To change your password once you are logged in, click “Edit Profile” in the dropdown menu at top right.
I’m new to my organization, and taking over for someone who had a login/password already. Can I log in and click “Edit Profile” to change the old contact information to my new information?
No. Please do not overwrite an existing/inactive user’s contact information, even if you have taken over their position. Instead, please contact the Foundation with the new user’s name, title, email address, and phone number to have a new contact added to your organization. Any current grant requests and follow-ups will be re-assigned to the new user. If another person in the organization has access to the portal, they can login and invite a new user to the organization (there is an "Invite User" button under the "Contacts" tab).
Can multiple users access the same grant request?
Actually, YES! Here's how it works:
Each request is primarily tied to the user who logged in initially and started the application (this is the "applicant"). Requests can be manually re-assigned as needed (i.e., in the case of staff turnover)—please contact us and we can do this on the back end.
To add additional users ("collaborators") who can access a specific request, follow the steps below or watch this video tutorial:
What if someone on my team wants to review past requests, but they don’t need to edit the current one?
You may login and invite them to collaborate on that request, selecting the "view" option (see above). We can also add multiple users within an organization. Please contact us with the name, title, email address, and phone number of anyone who needs an additional login. To view past grant requests, login and click “Organization History” from the menu of your dashboard.
Why can’t I see a current or previous request when I’m logged in?
If you don’t see the request you’re looking for on your dashboard, it is probably “assigned” to someone else. Please contact us to determine which login it falls under, and let us know if you want it re-assigned. You may also ask the applicant to invite you as a collaborator (see above). To view all requests from your organization, click “Organization History” from the menu.
My organization’s address listed is not the mailing address, or is not current.
Thank you for letting us know! Please contact us to update organization address, or any other organizational information. This will avoid any delay in your receipt of mailed grant decisions or grant awards.
Do the character counts on forms include spaces?
Yes, character counts do include spaces. We encourage applicants to prepare answers in a Word document first, in order to back up data and preview character counts.
I am a contractor working for multiple organizations. Can I use the same login (email address) for all of them?
Yes! Please contact us to request which organizations' accounts you will need access. Alternativly, someone else in the organization can start an application, then invite you as a collaborator (see above).
Can I preview the Application questions before working in the E-Grant System?
Yes, you may preview the questions for our Application here. If logged into the E-Grant System, you can also click the gray button to the top right of the form that says "Question List."
Can I preview the entire request, including my answers, before hitting "Submit"?
Yes, you can preview the entire Application packet within the E-Grant System by clicking the gray button to the top right of the form that says "Application Packet." This will create a PDF merge of the entire request, which you may review and save for your records.
Can I copy my answers from a previous application into a new application?
Yes! You can find step-by-step instructions on how to do that here.

To add additional users ("collaborators") who can access a specific request, follow the steps below or watch this video tutorial:
- Once a request has been started, click the blue "Collaborate" button at the top right of the form.
- Invite one or more "collaborators" to view, edit, or submit the request. Add an optional message about what you need from the collaborator (ie, "please help answer the question(s) about XX by XX date")
- That person (or persons) will receive an email with a link that will take them to a simple sign-up page, unless they already have an account in our system. A person's login is always their email address.
- Once the collaborator is logged in to the dashboard, click the tab that says "Collaboration Requests" to view all requests for which you are invited to collaborate.
- Click the blue "Edit" link to the right of the form name to view/edit that request. If someone has invited you to collaborate but you cannot edit the form, then you only have permission to view.
- A collaborator can add themselves permanently to the organization record by clicking the pencil icon near the "applicant information" at the top of the dashboard, and completing the registration process. This will allow them to initiate new requests in the future.
- Collaborators will retain access to all forms and follow-ups for the request, unless the applicant removes them by clicking the blue "Collaborate" button again, then clicking the red "X" next to the collaborator email address.
